Yap, FSM –As of May 2024, a total of 38 traffic citations were issued under various sections of Title 25, highlighting Yap State's commitment to enforcing traffic safety and regulations. These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives aimed at maintaining orderly and safe road conditions for all residents and visitors in Yap State.


The number of traffic violations was issued for traffic tickets as follows:

  • (5) No registration card

  • (4) Expired registration

  • (2) No sticker

  • (6) No driver’s license

  • (5) No possession of license 

  • (1) License expired

  • (1) Disobeying police

  • (11) Disobeying traffic sign

  • (6) Unsafe passing

  • (1) Failure to yield to vehicle

  • (8) Improper signaling

  • (9) Speeding

  • (1) Overtaking School bus

  • (2) Illegal Parking

  • (2) Light equipment

  • (5) Faulty headlamp

  • (5) Faulty tail lamp

  • (1) Defective muffler/exhaust

  • (15) Reckless driving

  • (26) Negligent driving

  • (1) Government ID
