Yap, FSM – Yap Fishing Authority has been building new storage facilities. Currently, they have three boats: one is waiting for a barge coming from Japan, one is undergoing dry-docking, and one is being used for fishing in the reefs. Last month’s catch was 2,000 pounds, consisting mostly of humpback fish, red snapper fish, emperor fish, and rainbow parrotfish. The fishing boat is currently out fishing in the reefs, north of Ulithi, northeast of Fais, and between Ngulu and Yap.
