Yap, FSM – the Committee on Finance of the 11th Yap State Legislature held a public hearing today November 18, 2024, to discuss Bill No. 11-120. This bill seeks $35,000 from the general fund to support the "Youth Revitalize" program.
The "Youth Revitalize" program is an initiative that aims to foster closer connections between Yap’s youth and their government. It will achieve this by providing opportunities for young people to participate in various activities, such as debates on current issues affecting the state, presentations on topics of local, national, and international concern, and simulations of government processes, including a mock government where participants can interact with state issues to develop solutions.
A core group is currently developing the program's details, ensuring alignment with its objectives and goals.
