Yap Legislature Holds Public Hearing on FY2026 Budget for Visitors Bureau Thursday, April 10, 2025//DYCA PIO

The Committee on Finance of the Eleventh Legislature of the State of Yap held a public hearing on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Legislature Chamber. The hearing focused on Gov. Comm. No. 11-340, which covers the recommended budget for the Yap Visitors Bureau (YVB) for Fiscal Year 2026.

Key witnesses who attended and shared information included the Manager of the Yap Visitors Bureau and relevant staff, the Chief of Budget from the Office of Planning and Budget (OPB), the Chief of Personnel from the Office of Administrative Services (OAS), and a representative from the Department of Resources and Development (RED).

The hearing gave lawmakers the chance to ask questions and better understand the funding needs and plans of the Yap Visitors Bureau for the coming fiscal year.
