Yap State Legislature Launches Youth Revitalized ProgramTuesday, November 26 2024///DYCA-PIO

Yap, FSM – November 26, 2024 – The 11th Yap State Legislature today officially launched the Youth Revitalized Program, a new initiative aimed at engaging the youth of Yap in various activities, including presentations, debates, elections, and youth administration.


The program’s objective is to foster interest in policy making among younger generations, solidify understanding of civic service, and establish mechanisms for youth-led community initiatives. By encouraging youth involvement and leadership, the program seeks to empower the next generation to shape the future of Yap State.


The opening ceremony, which took place at 10:00 AM, was attended by representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), state leaders such as the Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the Legislature, Representative of the Council of Pilung and Chairman of the Council of Tamol, as well as students and staff from the College of Micronesia, Yap High School, Yap Catholic High School, and Faith Christian Academy.


The ceremony concluded at 11:20 AM with a group photo featuring state leadership and the UNDP team.
