Yap State Relief Mission: H2 Voyage Delayed for Urgent Aid to Drought-Stricken IslandsWednesday, April 3, 2024//DYCA PIO

Yap, FSM- The scheduled departure of MV Hapilmohol-2 (H2) on April 6th was delayed to April 14th, 2024, due to a water shortage emergency in some neighboring islands that must be addressed and mitigated immediately. This emergency trip is intended to transport relief to the drought-stricken neighboring islands, including Satawal, Lamotrek, Elato, and Ifalik, which is the priority objective of Yap State. The H2 Special-01 FY-2024 departed on Sunday, March 31st, and arrived at Proper Yap yesterday, April 7th, at 7:30 am. Moreover, H2 will depart Proper Yap again on Sunday, April 14th, at 5 pm, following an itinerary that includes from Yap, Ulithi, Fais, Eauripik, Woleai, Ifeluk, Fechailap, Satawal, Lamotrek, Elato, back to Lamotrek, Satawal, Fechailap, Ifeluk, Woleai, Eauripik, Fais, Ulithi, and returning to Yap.
