Yap State Representatives Attend FSM Finance Conference 2024 Friday, June 28, 2024 // DYCA PIO

Yap, FSM – The Yap State Legislature, Budget Officer Noimilynn N.F. Pigao, Chairman of Finance Hon. Pius Talimeisei, and Legal Counselor Genevieve M. Mangefel, the Chief of Procurement & Property Management, Patricia Ruecho’ and Gertrude Gootinan, Financial Advisor, from OAS, Deputy Director of Department of Health Services, Dominic Tarwemai, Department of Health accountant, Christine  Ilechouyaro, Florencio Ligmai, the Department of Health Quality Assurance Officer, WCHC Data Officer Amanda Colburn, Director of Education Dominic Fanasog, Santus, Arlene Falurag, Special Education Jesse Foruw, and the Hon. Lt. Governor Francis Itmai, left Yap on United Airlines on June 22, 2024, to Weno, Chuuk, for the FSM Finance Conference. They aim to share and discuss key updates, information, and challenges to synergize for more efficient delivery of public finance services under the theme “Strong Public Finance Driving Inclusive Sustainable Development.”


The conference includes various presentations and sessions, such as discussions on the economic provisions of the amended “Compact 3,” climate finance for resilience, the new cloud-based Financial Management Information System (FMIS), the FSM Strategic Development Plan, and updates on World Bank and Asian Development Bank projects.
