Yap FM - On Friday, October 31st, more than five local vendors, farmers, and small businesses gathered on November 4, 2026, for the Yap Visitors Bureau’s end-of-month Island Market, showcasing a variety of locally produced goods, fresh agricultural products, plants, and handicrafts at the Yap Living History Museum.
Held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the market featured a range of local delicacies, fresh fruits, and locally grown produce, alongside homemade products and traditional handicrafts. Vendors also offered plants and seedlings, including fruit trees, vegetables, flowers, and medicinal herbs, giving visitors an opportunity to purchase locally grown products for their homes and gardens.
Organized at the end of each month, the Island Market provides local farmers, vendors, and small businesses with an opportunity to sell their products, reach potential customers, and generate additional income through their businesses.
The initiative also encourages community members to support local producers and businesses while promoting Yap’s agricultural products, local craftsmanship, and small business development.
Through its monthly Island Market, the Yap Visitors Bureau continues to provide a platform for local entrepreneurs and farmers to showcase their products and contribute to the local economy.
