Yap Wins 4 Medals at the Majuro Micronesian Games  Friday, June 28, 2024 // DYCA PIO

Yap, FSM – The 10th Micronesian Games, held in Majuro, Marshall Islands, concluded on Monday, June 24th, 2024. The event brought together eight nations competing in 14 sports, including tennis, track and field, wrestling, spearfishing, and more. According to the Yap Sports Office, Yap State's athletes performed admirably, earning a total of four medals: two silver and two bronze. Ms. Tanya Rose Yarosmal won two bronze medals in weightlifting in the 121.2 lbs weight class, while O’Brien Yaromal and Andrew Mwaitog secured silver medals in wrestling in the 171.9 lbs and 147.7 lbs weight classes, respectively. The Micronesian Games aims to foster regional unity and sportsmanship, providing a platform for athletes to showcase their talents and promote cultural exchange among Micronesian nations.
