Colonia, Yap– On June 15, 2024, the Youth Services Division at DYCA held one of its monthly youth community event by partnering with Vital FSM Petroleum Corporation. This Saturday was full of activities for the youth. They started the day at 9:00 am with scrubbing, and cleaning the bus stop. While waiting for the infrastructure to dry, they had a walk that included trash pick-up held from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. The youth walked from Colonia Park to Yap State Memorial Hospital and back to the park. Then, they spent most of the afternoon, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, painting the bus stop at Colonia Park.
They ended the day with a movie night at the Colonia Park from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. As a token of appreciation, lunch was provided, and there was a special giveaway to the first 100 volunteers! The giveaway included free t-shirts that came with special Isla Nesia products, including coconut oil and soap. Youth Services Division extends its heartfelt thanks to Vital Corporation for their generous partnership, which made this event for the youth possible. The Youth Services Division looks forward to continuing these monthly events, fostering community spirit, and providing valuable experiences and opportunities for the youth of the Yap State.
