Yap, FM – On Saturday, February 22, 2025, the Division of Youth Services at DYCA continued its retaining wall painting event at the Hospital Intersection, Maawach, and Dachngar.
Twenty-Five Youth participants registered for this event in which they participated in pressure washing and painting all three retaining walls. The initiative aims at encouraging youth involvement in community beautification projects and taking ownership of keeping their island State beautiful.
A big “Thank you” to the Yap State Public Service Corporation for providing the pressure washer that was desperately needed to clean these retaining walls.
Due to rain on Saturday, the event continued on Sunday, February 23, 2025, with just the team at DYCA completing the work. The Division of Youth Services is committed to fostering artistic talent and will continue offering opportunities for youth artists to contribute to their community through similar initiatives.
